The Twilight Saga to Continue Past Breaking Dawn?!?

Might November 16, 2012 not mark the beginning of the end for The Twilight Saga after all?

While we're still nearly a year away from the release of Breaking Dawn Part 2, Lionsgate President Jon Feltheimer is already looking at life beyond the final installment of Stephenie Meyer's novels - and he has an idea for how to milk the franchise for all it can produce.

“It’s hard for me to imagine a movie that does $700 million-plus doesn’t have ongoing value,” Felthemier said of the possibility that another film could be made. “It’s an amazing franchise that they have done a great job of maintaining with absolutely no deterioration."

But the source material is tapped out. How could the studio back another Edward and Bella-based saga?

“Maybe go back into some of the back stories,” Feltheimer suggested. “There’s been talk of shorts and different new media, too.”

Only time, and screaming Twihard reaction, will tell. But what do you think of this plan? Do you want to see Twilight extended beyond Breaking Dawn?

Of course, the more the better!
No, go out on top!

I think they should continue, but if they don't use the original cast it will probably flop. I mean, sure, the character will be the same, but could you really get into the story if it's a different character? I was even pissed off when they changed the actress of Victoria!

But a TV series would be good, or maybe a Pre-Twilight story. Like Edward's dark days or Bella's life growing up as a kid. Or the death of Jacob's mother or.... "The Carlisle Chronicles"!! Hahaha

I'm legally a child and i fell in love with this franchise(and Edward!) and I would love the see the movie of midnight sun but im not sure it's possibly since robert pattinson is older than he was in Twilight. i want a Nessie and Jake spin-off...that would be awesome!!

  8. Twiglight Fan

Yes I would like to see more books like Midnight Sun when the author Sthephenie Meyer finishes it. I would also like to see the other books written by the author from the other characters point of view like Twilight. I would also like to see what happens to their daughter(Renesemee) and Jacob in a future book and film.

all this people want is to make more money, they don't care about the fans, if they make a TV show, trust me, they are going to run the saga, just like they have done with other books they turned into TV series! They should realize that real fans do not want anything else...the movies/shows should end exactly like the books...

I'd like more. Written by Stephenie, original cast. No cartoons. I'd still like to read Midnight Sun if it ever gets written.
