I am not gay and I do not support that life style, but I sure do applaud this woman for standing up for what SHE believes and she believes its a choice. I can respect that. Good for her for not standing down to others who do not agree with her.

@ Carmen, how do you know? Are you God? Did he give you some special power to know who will and who will not be let into Heaven? You sound extremely ignorant. The bible says a lot of things like you're not suppose to have premarital sex? We know how many people engage in that. Do you honestly think all of those people won't go to Heaven either?

I'm not scientifically speaking or anything cuz itheres that whole thing how something with our chromosomes make us who we are which I rally don't knokw about, but what I am saying is that peoople are who they are, and there shouldn't be a consequence for that. I don't get why so many people don't understand that. So yeah, being gay is a choice. That's what makes us who we are. Our understanding of our own selves.

Life is a choice all of it. We choose what we eat, who we spend time with, who we are intimate with, what we think about, what our favorite color and most preferred activities are as well. I'm a heterosexual and I still get to choose of the wide array of men whom I will spend my time with, how much, and how intimately. It goes the same way on both sides of the tracks. People like to feel understood and if they find that understanding from a same sex relationship so be it and at the embrace of the transition of lifestyle, there the choice is made. We are all endowed with the power to make small choices that ultimately lead to the big picture. I love all people but to say its not a choice is as relevant as saying the car I bought when I could have chosen an suv, truck, van, etc was not my choice. I get to pay for what I drive but on the upside I also get to choose when I'm shopping around. We all get to choose.

I totally agree with her!! I believe it can be a choice but that doesn't mean that it is a choice for all gay people. I know that there are people who are born straight who choose to be gay and I know they are people who are born gay (mostly men from my experience) who choose to be straight. It all depends on the person and what they choose for their life to be. It's all personal.

If you could choose whether you wanted to be with a man or a woman, I believe that's called bisexual. There is nothing wrong with being gay, and personally, I sometimes prefer homosexuals over heteros. They're more openminded. However, saying that being gay is a choice would mean that you're implying that gay teens choose this, too. They choose to be bullied everyday. They choose to feel unwanted and unloved. You're also implying that gay workers choose to be discriminated against by employers. It is not a choice. I feel that it's a blessing in disguise.

Um...if you have a choice to be gay or straight it actually means you are bisexual (and have no choice at such). I personally am a bisexual woman, not a choice, but I choose to have relationships with men....
