Cameron Diaz and Alex Rodriguez have called it quits. Like for real. The relationship went downhill faster than A-Rod's production these last two years.
After a year back together, the actress and baseball star have ended their romance. "They broke up recently," a source close to the Yankee slugger said.
Their romance was marked by beach getaways, working out and the occasional douche-tastic sighting. But their careers were too big an obstacle.
"She's very busy with her career," the source says of Bad Teacher actress Diaz, 39. As for A-Rod? "He's had injuries and wants to focus on his game."
"They're both dedicated and they're both professionals."
Fair enough. So don't expect any sort of drama in the wake of their split. "They are still very friendly and like each other very much," the source says.
"He has an enormous amount of respect for her."
