Model-actress Alexis Knapp gave birth to a baby girl on Friday.
The presumed father, Ryan Phillippe, was there at her side.
Back in March, it was revealed that Knapp, 21, was expecting, and that Phillippe, 36, who dated her briefly last year, was the father of the baby.
Ryan has not taken a paternity test, but only because of the risk to the then-pregnant Knapp. He will likely take one now that the child is born.
The actor has supported Alexis Knapp financially through the pregnancy regardless. Explains the source of Phillippe's presence during the birth:
"He is a good father, and whether this is his baby or not, he's been going out of his way to do the right thing and to always be supportive."
Ryan (dad to Deacon, 7, and Ava, 11 with ex-wife Reese Witherspoon) was photographed at a doctor's appointment with Knapp last month.
As for So Undercover actress Knapp, "she has never asked Ryan for any help, nor does she expect it," her rep said, asking for privacy.
A pal added that Knapp is "really excited to be a mom."
Congratulations to Alexis, and probably to Ryan too!

Im glad that he wanted to "save her feelings" while she was pregnant barely any men think that way and its nice to know that there are some good men out there even if this one is far out of most reach...he has been supportive and the child might not even be his ...I must say :GOOD MAN
