To "Hellion" - I feel 'ya, but you are not listening to the same Adam Lambert that I am if your comments are applying to him. Maybe they are not, were not mean to, but dude - you gotta hit the net if that's what you think about Lambert. Check out his Fantasy Springs performances, any of his NYC performances from this past Valentine's Day weekend, even his AOL Sessions performances or the IheartRadio stripped performances... broaden your horizons past the FYE cd like the rest of us are dude - I think you'll be very pleasantly suprised. A music purist should enjoy the WWL performance from the Fantasy Springs concert this past weekend - check it out.

Lambert blew it out the box on Leno. You don't have to love him - but his vocals are amazing, not much up for debate there. So so much to enjoy vocally and musically from Lambert - I hope people don't close themselves off from that long term. Damn man, just so uber entertaining to listen to the guy do his thang.

Call me a music purist but I don't like any of the "cookie cutter" manufactured talent that comes from American Idol.
In my opinion, American Idol and it's artistic manipulation is one of the reasons why there is a severe lack of creativity in popular music.
Every decade (70's, 80's, 90's etc) has it's own characteristics and distinct styles however the 2000's don't seem to have that. Too much script and not enough creativity.
PS - Lady Gaga is a good example of artistic creativity without the help of a commercialized talent show. Just watch and see the imitators quickly come out of the wood work.
